Diagnostic Plots
Start here when your question is about residual behavior or reference-distribution compatibility, with conservative guidance about what this diagnostics section does and does not cover.
Start here
Use this section when your question is whether a fitted model or sample looks concerning from a diagnostics point of view, especially for residual patterns or compatibility with a reference distribution such as normality.
This branch covers Q-Q plot guidance and residual-plot guidance. It is not the place for open-ended custom chart design or for treating Licklider as an automatic pass/fail judge of overall model validity.
If you mainly want to show relationships between variables or fitted trends, go to Association and Regression. If you mainly want one-variable distributions or grouped comparisons, go to Distribution and Group Comparison.

Scope notes
- Q-Q Plot is a guidance-first page about quantiles, reference distributions, and conservative reading of apparent normality deviations.
- Residual Plot is the more concrete page for residuals, fitted values, and regression-assumption review in currently supported model families.
