Rigorous Stats is Licklider's core statistical engine. When you describe your experiment in plain language, the engine determines the correct inferential test, validates all required assumptions, and reports results in the format expected by journals such as Nature, JAMA, and PNAS.

Unlike general-purpose AI tools, Licklider's statistical layer is rule-governed: every decision is traceable, reproducible, and auditable. You retain full control while the system enforces the methodology.

How It Works

The pipeline runs in three phases for every analysis request:

  1. Data profiling. Licklider scans your dataset for variable types, sample sizes, missing values, and distributional characteristics.
  2. Design elicitation. A brief conversation clarifies your study design, including paired vs. unpaired, independent vs. repeated measures, and intended comparison structure.
  3. Test execution and reporting. The selected test runs, assumptions are checked, and results are packaged into a structured report with confidence intervals, p-values, and effect sizes.
