Operation History

Operation History keeps the figure's recent preprocessing context and exclusion decisions visible during export review. It is designed to support disclosure, not to ask researchers to reconstruct what happened after the fact.

What is Operation History?

Between raw data and a final figure, researchers may impute missing values, winsorize or exclude outliers, log-transform outcomes, filter rows, reshape data, or aggregate repeated measurements. Those steps affect interpretation, so Licklider carries forward the relevant record for the current workflow.

Operation History combines three perspectives: the current preprocessing summary, exclusion-specific history, and session-level transparency risk when repeated analysis choices accumulate.

Three Layers of Review

1.1.1 Preprocessing Audit Log

Records the current preprocessing summary for missing-value handling, outlier handling, log transform, recode, reshape, and aggregation actions.

1.1.2 Outlier Exclusion Log

Tracks exclusion criteria, exclusions, overrides, and result-sensitive review prompts for outlier handling.

1.1.3 p-Hacking Detection

Summarizes repeated exclusion, retest, subset, and filter patterns so exploratory drift is disclosed before export.
